Online reports are saying "Go now", "100% colour". It was our first weekend away as newly anointed empty nesters. Our hearts were heavy on the one hand, having said goodbye to our daughter after setting her up in Santa Cruz. But, visiting the glorious Eastern Sierra in fall was a great to salve our souls. Having never explored Lobdell Lake Rd, I didn't know what to expect. There were some rough sections but our little SUV had no problems. In fact I saw several sedans making the journey up the road. There were several large groves of aspen that were firing with colour. This particular grove caught my eye, as it stood separated from the rest in a beauitful symmetry creating a cathedral of colour.
